AJ2 is the deep tech angel investment vehicle of brothers Julien Lepleux and Adrien Lepleux. We invest in founders working on energy, defense, space infrastructure and environmental health.
What deep tech means here
Our portfolio is rooted in the physical world: recovering value from used nuclear fuel, producing aircraft where they are needed, returning cargo from orbit and addressing the health effects of environmental exposure.
These businesses depend on engineering, scientific understanding and the ability to deliver a working product. Software can be part of the solution, but the outcome has to work beyond a screen.
Two brothers, with operating experience
Adrien is Chief of Staff at Firestorm and previously invested in startups for Hermès. Julien co-founded MoldCo after investing at Bleu Capital and working in startup growth. AJ2 brings those operating and investing backgrounds together in a shared angel portfolio.
